3-in-1 Water Taps

Output temperatures vary, depending on the model. Chilled water is generally served at around 2°C across the range, and models with a boiling function – such as the Elite Instant Tap T3 – dispense near-boiling water at around 92°C for teas and coffees. Ambient water is served at room temperature. Exact figures vary by model, so check the product specifications for the tap you’re considering.

Day-to-day, 3-in-1 taps only require a wipe-down of the tap and drip tray. For Aquacool rental customers, filter changes, sanitisation and servicing are handled as part of the plan, so the system stays reliable without any extra effort. Running costs are generally low. These 3-in-1 taps connect directly to the mains, so there are no bottle deliveries. Many models come with built-in energy-saving features that reduce power during quieter periods. As a mains-fed system serving several water types from one unit, a 3-in-1 tap is typically more efficient than running separate appliances.

Most models fit neatly onto the worktop, with the unit stored under the counter and out of sight – the Drink Tower is a freestanding option that sits on the countertop instead. The T-Bar instant tap is a lever-operated unit, available as a 2-tap or 3-tap option. The 2-tap version pours either chilled and ambient (room temperature), or chilled and sparkling. The 3-tap version pours all three – chilled, ambient and sparkling – from the one tap. To use it, you just pull the lever for the water you want and release when you’re done. Note, this product does not produce hot water.

The main difference is sparkling water. The T3 Black is a 4-in-1 tap, dispensing boiling, chilled, ambient and sparkling water. Whereas the T3 Standard (Steel) is a 3-in-1 tap, offering boiling, chilled and ambient water, but no sparkling option.

With so many options, it can be hard to know which model fits your needs. We always recommend starting by considering hot water. If you have some avid tea drinkers in the team and require hot water, the Elite Instant Tap T3 is the model to consider – it’s the 3-in-1 solution that dispenses boiling water, alongside chilled and ambient, so it can replace a kettle as well as a cooler.

If hot water isn’t essential, the Instant & Sparkling Tap, Elite HydroTap, T-Bar and Drink Tower all offer chilled, ambient and sparkling water instead. These differ mainly in capacity and format: the Elite HydroTap and T-Bar handle higher demand at up to 80 litres per hour, while the Instant & Sparkling Tap suits smaller kitchens and the Drink Tower is a freestanding option. A 3-in-1 tap covers three water types, which is enough for most workplaces. But if you’d use every option – boiling, chilled, ambient and sparkling together – a 4-in-1 tap adds the fourth from the same under-counter system, so you’re not choosing between hot water and sparkling.
